Artist Statement
I saw the Texas bluebonnet panel and fell in love with it. I wanted to design a quilt around that panel for my nephew's wedding that reminded him and his bride of their Texas roots. This quilt definitely hit that mark for not only them but me and other family members, as well. They plan to hang it in their new home; however, we all felt it inspired us to think of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and wanted to give the quilt an opportunity to remind everyone of their Texas roots.
