Artist Statement
I am often mesmerized by the old windmills still standing tall that dot our Texas landscape. I'm sure they would have some wonderful stories to tell. They brought a great deal of change when we learned to harness the wind to provide water for the cattle ranchers, allowing them to increase the size of their herds and also graze new areas with the new found ground water. I used western theme fabrics to help portray my vision of Texas ranching.
