Roze

Roze, Machine Quilting
Roze
This is a machine quilted and displays the beauty of roses with various abstract roses that are all different. Each abstract rose has its own unique pattern and beauty, while still keeping the same color scheme in each. Each rose is made from scraps of material from other projects.

Artist Statement
I lovingly named this quilt "Roze". My eldest granddaughter Rozalie was my inspiration for this piece. Her love for roses and their beauty is a perfect representation of our love and admiration for her. A red rose symbolizes beauty, courage and love. Each rose is an unique as a fingerprint. Often you see people marveling when in the presence of roses. It is because roses express through nature the splendor that we see in those we love. My favorite part of quilting is visualizing how to use the scrap pieces of material to make an unusual design.
