Artist Statement
This quilt was constructed from a Judy Niemeyer paper piecing pattern named Crimson Poppy. The original pattern sample used Kaffe fabrics. I preferred more of a turquoise color palette. I chose these fabrics from the inside out building and changing the design as I went along. After it was finished, I am happy with the colors and blending that occurred in the design period. This will be a treasure for years to come.
