Artist Statement
Spiraling Triangles represents a simple geometric motif that proved surprisingly challenging to reproduce as textile art. My original mini quilt was foundation paper pieced, but this significantly larger version forced me to slow down and take time to really consider all the different ways we can cut and sew pieces of fabric together in the pursuit of getting it just right. In the end, both the design and the making process itself pulled me in.
