Artist Statement
I chose the simplicity of this pattern to showcase the complexity of the quilting. This was a skill builders project for me. I wanted to be challenged in quilting negative spaces. The decision of fabrics handpicked for this quilt came from my love of Grunge and is from the from the Hits the Spot collection.
My inspiration is my talented mother (God rest her soul), who taught me so many things.
